Roofing slate Forna
Pizarras Forna is a first quality Spanish slate with many advantages. The slate has a darkgrey almost black color. Forna extracts the slate from an open mine. The selection made by Forna is excellent and the slate is pure without micas or pyrite.
Forna adheres to the European standard EN 12326 and to French and Belgian standards.
FORNA PRIMERA ROOFING SLATE
Pizarras Forna 1A is the first selection extracted from the high purity slate deposit from Forna - Filon hebra. This slate from the La Baña region is among the best quality slate to be found anywhere in the world. The slate has a profound darkgrey almost black color. The selection is regular flat and has a smooth surface texture.
Thickness
Slate Forna 1A is selected on thickness:
- Fina : 3 - 5 mm ( 3.8mm +/- 20% )
- Fuerte : 5 - 6 mm ( 4.8mm +/- 20% )

Pizarras Forna standard is a second selection from the Filon hebra deposit. The slate has a darkgrey almost black color. The slate is not perfect even, therefore your roof will be charming. You get good quality, this selection is better than the first selection from many other quarries.

Slate Forna standard is selected on thickness:
- Fina : 4 - 6 mm ( 5 mm +/- 25% )
- Fuerte : 5 - 7 mm ( 6 mm +/- 25% )
